Warren A. Scoles, Jr., 59, of New Hartford, Iowa passed away on Monday, January 21, 2013 at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa.
Warren was born on April 26, 1953, the son of Warren and Eva Irene (Dailey) Scoles in rural Chickasaw county. He attended country school in the Plainfield area and then Fredericksburg high school. On April 29, 1971, he was united in marriage to Barbara Jean Acklin in North Cedar, Black Hawk County. Warren was employed at Mid Equipment in Grundy Center, John Deere, as a mechanic in New Hartford and then for Unverferth Manufacturing Company in Shell Rock for the past 17 years as a supervisor until the time of his death.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, taking car trips, but most especially spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors are his wife, Barbara of New Hartford, Iowa; two sons, Cody (Jodie) Scoles of Aplington, Iowa and Jeremy (Kai) Scoles of New Hartford, Iowa; two daughters, Theresa (Jake) Freese of Tripoli, Iowa and Kimberly (Jim) Beck of Allison, Iowa; 14 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; his mother, Eva Irene Scoles of Waverly, Iowa; three brothers, Ronald (Irma Jean) Scoles of Cedar Falls, Iowa, LeRoy Scoles of Cedar Falls, Iowa and John (Cyndie) Scoles of New Hartford, Iowa; sister, Pat (Leon) Hutchinson of Shell Rock, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his father, Warren A. Scoles on July 28, 1980 and three sisters, Peggy Hesse, Verna Scoles and Elsie Nieman.
Memorial service will be held on Friday, January 25, 2013 at 10:00 am at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly, Iowa with Pastor Ben Epley officiating. Per Warren's request, his body has been cremated, there will be no visitation the family will greet family and friends an hour prior to the memorial service on Friday.
