Rand “RandE” Renner, 68, of Waverly, Iowa and formerly of Janesville, Iowa passed away on Monday, August 7, 2017 in a grain bin accident in Waterloo, Iowa.
Rand Eugene Renner was born on September 26, 1948, the son of Clark and Carol (Siepert) Renner in Cedar Falls, Iowa. He attended the Finchford school district and graduated from Cedar Falls High School. RandE worked at Brent Industries, Shell Rock Sand and Gravel, Smith International, Cedar Valley Farm Services in Janesville and for the last 26 years at East Central Iowa Co-op as operations manager in Cedar Falls. He served in the Iowa National Guard. On December 1, 1989, he was united in marriage to Sandra Barber at the Washington Chapel, rural Cedar Falls, Iowa.
Rand was a member of the Equity Masonic Temple #131, Janesville where he was Master of Equity in 1981; Waverly Chapter of the Eastern Star #353 and Cedar Falls York Rite. He enjoyed rebuilding antique tractors, tractor rides (sponsored by KGLO & KISS radio stations), vacationing with his wife, but most especially spending time with his grandkids.
Survivors are his wife, Sandra Renner of Waverly, Iowa; four sons, Travis (An) Quigley of Warrensburg, Missouri, Chad Renner of Kansas City, Missouri, Rob (Renae) Renner of LeMars, Iowa and Andy (Stacy) Barber of Waverly, Iowa; daughter, Mandy (Ryan) Brumm of North Liberty, Iowa; 13 grandchildren; brother, Brad (Debra) Renner of New Hartford, Iowa and sister, Robin Gaines of Janesville, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 11:00 am at Trinity United Methodist Church in Waverly, Iowa with Pastor Dr. James Coyle officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Chapel Cemetery in rural Cedar Falls, Iowa with Masonic Rites conducted by the Equity Lodge # 131. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 22nd from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family for a later designation and online condolences for Rand may be left at www.kaisercorson.com.
