Larry Gene Speicher, 65, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, December 27th, 2016, at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo following a lengthy illness.
Larry was born July 13, 1951, in New Hampton, Iowa, the son of Gene and Alyce (Schaub) Speicher. He attended Fredericksburg High School and received his G.E.D. On October 2, 1982, he was united in marriage to Mary Catherine Aschbrenner at St. John's Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls. Over the years he was employed with Petersen Seed/Pioneer, PCI, Shell Rock Sand & Gravel, Metro Transit, Zephyr Trucking, Atens Porta Pottys and Corkerys. In his free time he enjoyed putting models together and working on cars.
Larry is survived by his wife, Mary of Waterloo, two sons; Mark Speicher of Waterloo and Adam Speicher of Waterloo, four grandchildren, one sister; Bonnie Spiecher. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly with the family greeting friends for an hour prior to the service. Memorials may be directed to the family and on-line condolences may be left at www.kaisercorson.com.
