Kenneth W. Heinemann, 92, of Readlyn, Iowa, died on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at the Hillcrest Home in Sumner, Iowa.
Kenneth was born on August 24, 1926, in Readlyn, Iowa, the son of Fred W. And Hulda M (Spier) Heinemann. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Readlyn. Kenneth was united in marriage to Pearl Pavelec on October 12, 1947, at Faith United Church of Christ in Tripoli (formerly St. Peter Evangelical and Reformed). After their marriage they moved to Kenneth’s parents farm and dairy farmed for more than 48 years. Pearl passed away on December 19, 1995. Kenneth continued living on the farm while helping his son, Gary with the milking. He lived on the farm until June of this year.
He had a huge passion for dairy farming. He was proud to show his dairy cattle at the Iowa State Fair and the World Dairy Expo.
Kenneth is survived by his two grandchildren, Tracy (Jeff) Craun of Sumner and Troy (Kelly) Heinemann of Readlyn; two great grandchildren, Cody and Kelsey Craun; a daughter-in-law, Mary Heinemann of Waverly; a brother Larry (Katherine) Heinemann of Readlyn and a sister-in-law, LaVera Bergen of Waterloo. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his son, Gary Heinemann; six sisters-in-law, and two brothers-in-law.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Readlyn with Rev. Jean Rabary officiating. Burial will be held in St. Matthews Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Readlyn and also for one hour before services on Tuesday at the church.
