She attended Warren #6 Country School through the 8th grade, then attended and graduated from Waverly-Shell Rock High School in 1966. She was united in marriage to Larry Bogardus on November 19, 1988 at the Little Brown Church, Nashua. Over the years, Janine belonged to several professional organizations. Janine was a founding member of the newly built Heritage United Methodist Church in Waverly and served on numerous committees. She was also a member of the Warren Cemetery Association. After her move to Florida, she joined the First United Methodist Church in Bunnell and served the church as the Financial Secretary until her death. Helping families in need work towards receiving a newly built home was extremely rewarding to her.
Janine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a fun, witty, generous and caring individual. She enjoyed playing games of all types and excellent at solving Wheel of Fortune puzzles. She loved to travel, loved the ocean and enjoyed combing the beach, picking up unique seashells. She was always delighted to open their home to guests and enjoyed showing off the Florida sites. She frequently traveled around the country and rarely missed attending a grandchild’s birthday.
