Janette Jean Wolff, 84, of Readlyn, Iowa, died on Thursday, December 20, 2018, at the Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community in Waverly, Iowa.
Janette was born on August 4, 1934, in Readlyn, Iowa, the daughter of Herbert and Frieda (Moeller) Otto. She attended Immanuel Lutheran School in Klinger until the eighth grade and graduated from Readlyn High School in 1952. She graduated from Allen School of Nursing in 1955. Janette was united in marriage to Ronald Wolff on April 22, 1956, at Immanuel Lutheran Church inKlinger. She worked for Allen Hospital in Waterloo for 40 years, retiring in 1997.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Readlyn. She enjoyed reading and spending time with family.
Janette is survived by her husband, Ronald Wolff of Readlyn, Iowa; three sons, Greg (Melody) Wolff of Crown Point, Indiana; Brian (U-Dom) Wolff of Marshalltown, Iowa; and Thomas (Lori) Wolff of East Peoria, Illinois; five grandchildren, Matthew (Piper) Wolff, Amanda Wolff; Bridget Wolff, Elena Wolff, and Clarice Wolff; three great-grandchildren, Brody, Josie and Ian Wolff; four sisters, Marlys Minnaert of Waverly, Iowa; LaVonne Horman of Hilliard, Ohio; Dorothy Rundle of Sumner. Iowa; Sandra Jerke of Tacoma, Washington; a brother, Jim (Janet) Otto of Aurora, Colorado; three brothers-in-law, Milan Bellile of Readlyn, Iowa; Roger Wolff of Readlyn, Iowa; and James (Tamara) Wolff of Readlyn, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Beverly Bellile; a niece Camilla Horman: an infant brother, Thomas Otto; an infant sister, Cynthia Otto; three brothers-in-law, Robert Minnaert, John Rundle Jr., and Donald Jerke; and a sister-in-law, Oriel Wolff.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 23, 2018, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Readlyn. Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Sunday at the church. Burial will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Readlyn. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the church. Online condolences may be left at www.kaisercorson.com
