Henry D. Heine, 51, of Janesville died on May 7, 2019 at Mercy One Medical Center in Waterloo.
Henry graduated from Waverly Shell Rock High school in 1986, he attended the German/ Language and Indigenous Studies at Bemidji State University in Bemidji Minnesota immediately after high school. He later attended The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma earning his BA in International Business. While in Oklahoma Henry was heavily involved in the theater as a member of the general set crew, set builder, actor, singer and director. He served in numerous roles during college and local community theater even renovating the “Washita Theater” back to its original glory! Henry was a positive, ready to help anyone, learn anything, beacon of light that has left his family and friends too soon.
Henry was survived by his parents and step-parents, Henry F. Heine and Susan Heine of Janesville and Lynda and Charles Ebling of Wilmore, Kentucky. His sisters, Sherry (Dan) Kiskunas and Christina (Todd) Kramer along with his nephews Nathan Kofron, Nicholas (Elizabeth) Kofron, Evan Kramer and Morgan Kramer and his step siblings Cheryl (Jerry) Hennings, Steven Sanger, Julie (Tom) Bartling and Linda (Curt) Welpert along with 16 step-grandnieces and step-grandnephews plus 15 step-great grandnieces and step-great-grandnephews. Also surviving are his aunts; Marlys Richmann, Mary (Bob) Hagenow, Jan (Bruce) Erpelding, Eunice (Delbert) Simpson, Shirley Heine and Bill (Susan) Daugherty. A LOT of cousins both on the maternal and paternal sides of his family! He is also survived by his very special friend Melanie Nieman. He was preceded into death by his paternal Grandparents Henry and Leona Heine and Donald and Betty Daugherty and his companion Gary Simms.
Celebration of Life viewing will be held on Friday, May 10th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Kaiser Corson Funeral Home at 218 2nd Street SE in Waverly, Iowa. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family. On-line condolences may be left at www.kaisercorson.com.
