Carol A. Bahr, 78, of Waverly, Iowa passed away on Monday, December 10, 2018 at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo, Iowa.
Carol Ann Bahr was born July 22, 1940, the daughter of Ernest and Edwina (Whitlow) Froehlich in Aberdeen, South Dakota. She attended Aberdeen Schools and then Wartburg College in Waverly. On December 8, 1961, she was united in marriage to Gene H. Bahr in Waverly, Iowa. Carol worked at Wartburg College for over 50 years.
She enjoyed gardening and reading books.
Survivors are her husband, Gene H. Bahr of Waverly, Iowa; son, David J. Bahr of Waverly, Iowa; two sisters, Janet (Ernest) Vielhaber of Rochester, Minnesota and Lora (Will) Mathes of Keil, Wisconsin; special friends of 57 years, Susan and Beryl Jordan of Waverly, Iowa and two cousins, Barbara Whitlow of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Karalee (Robert) Bipes of Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Carol’s body has been cremated and there will be no visitation or services. Memorials may be directed to the family of a special friend of the Bahr’s who is also suffering from an illness % of the First National Bank in Waverly, Iowa in Carol Ann Bahr Memorial Fund.
