Brenda Mae (Loveland) Stokes, 58, of Yuma, Arizona, died of natural causes with her faithful furbaby Rosie watching over her.

Brenda was born on February 9, 1960, in Buffalo, Minnesota, the daughter of Vern and Phyllis (Decker) Loveland. Brenda was a talented, tough, fierce, loving, competitive, forward thinking, fun, beautifully elegant person all rolled into a girly girl. She loved traveling, cooking, landscaping, gardening, reading, the Denver Broncos, building things, hosting family events, poker parties, did we mention the Broncos, four wheeling, creating beautiful things, her family and friends and four leggeds, oh and the Broncos.

Brenda worked for Nestle for twenty-four years just prior to moving to Arizona and purchasing a home in Florence. She will be forever loved and missed.

Brenda is survived by a sister, Colleen (Dave) Jacob of Denver and their family, Israel (Julie) Jacob, Lucas (Hannah), Shelby, Isabelle, Ian of Blaine, Washington; and Carrie Traetow of Phoenix, Arizona; a sister, Mary Loveland of Yuma, Arizona; a sister, Donna (Bill) Simonis of Des Moines and their family, Josh (Jamie) Thompson, Lincoln, Bailey, and Carter of Parkersburg; Alexis Thompson, Zayden, and Jet of Janesville, Christopher (Nicki) Nolan and Norah Simonis of Ankeny, Sean (Jenny), Charlotte and Connor Simonis of Waukee; a sister, Jennifer (Bob) Jans of Clarksville and their family Crystal, Aidan, and Violet of Cedar Falls; Casey (Wade) Wiechman and Piper and Katrina of Chaska, Minnesota; Carley (Brennan) Kennedy, Zoey and Mabel of Cedar Falls; Waylon (Brittany) Jans and Cashton and Landree of Parkersburg; a sister, Shelley (Kevin) Casey of Omaha, Nebraska, Karen Loveland of Cedar Falls, Kristy (Cory) Roberts, Landon and Weston of Finchford; a brother, Wayne Loveland and Katelyn and Colton of Palo; her uncle, Jack (Bonnie) Decker of Readlyn; and an aunt, Kay (Al) Messerschmidt of Cedar Falls; many cousins, and friends; and her faithful beloved Rosie. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, James and Robert Loveland.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly with Rev. Jamie Thompson officiating. There will be a visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly. Private burial of her cremains will be held in Finchford Cemetery in Finchford.
