Betty Lucille Williams, 61, of Rogers, Arkansas, formerly of Janesville, Iowa, died Tuesday, February 3, 2004, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rogers, Arkansas.
She was born on December 16, 1942, in North Vernon, Jennings County, Indiana. She was the ninth born of 15 children of Fred Gyle and Bernice Lue Burkhammer Mills of West Virginia.
She was married to Donnie Burton Atchison for 16 years and later divorced. Betty was married to Dale Eugene Williams for 24 years.
She attended high school at Weston High, Weston, West Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, George, Troy, Fred Jr., Howard, Johnny, and Charles; and one sister, Wanda Ecoffey.
She is survived by her husband, Dale Williams of Rogers, Arkansas; three daughters, Jana Williams of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Patty Deutmeyer and Craig of Dyersville, Arkansas, and Lynette Wieder and Todd of Waverly, Iowa; three sons, Donnie Jr. and Cathleen Atchison of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Dale and Lucinda Atchison of Spencer, Iowa, and Douglas Atchison of Waterloo, Iowa. Five sisters, Joyce and Bud Potter of Waverly, Iowa, Belma and Ed Sayre of North Carolina, Jane and Ted Gould of Chardon, Ohio, Judy Denny of Winchester, Virginia and Anna DaSilva of Freemont, CA; two brothers, Joseph Mills of Anderson, Missouri and James Mills of East Liverpool, Ohio. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Monday, February 9, 2004, at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly. Burial will be in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Visitation will be on Sunday from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Sunday and for two hours before the service on Monday at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly. Memorials may be directed to the family.
