Amos Joseph Stodden, 29, of Seattle, Washington, passed away on July 11, 2013 in Seattle.
Amos was born November 3rd, 1983 the son of Woodworth Stodden Sr. and Claudia Stodden, in Des Moines, Iowa. Started school at Reagan Elementary in Dallas, Texas. Attended Marshall Elementary, Nimitz Middle School, and Memorial High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Graduated High School from TC Williams High School in Alexandria, Virginia in 2002.
He joined the U.S. Navy in 2003 in Elkridge, Maryland as a Petty Officer, and served as a Nuclear Reactor Operator on the USS Louisville submarine. He was honorably discharged in 2009 in Silverdale, Washington. Amos then attended college at the University of Washington in Seattle, graduating in June of 2013.
Amos is survived by his father Woody (Neena) Stodden Sr, of Alexandria, Virginia; his brother Woody Jr. and his sister, Anna Alvarado. Amos is also survived by his aunts and uncles.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday, August 4, 2013, at 3:00 p.m.at Riverside Cemetery in Shell Rock, Iowa, with his uncle Pastor Stephen Stodden officiating. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Avery-Slight American Legion Post #393 of Shell Rock. Online condolences for Amos's family may be left at www.kaisercorson.com.
