Robert Henry Bouman, 71, of Tripoli, Iowa and formerly of Dike, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2019, at the Grandview Health Care Center in Oelwein.
Bob was born on April 16, 1947, in Tyler, Minnesota, the son of Henry and LaVon (Stevens) Bouman. He graduated from Ruthton High School in 1965. He was united in marriage to Sandra Jean Bunkers on September 7, 1968. He served in the United States Army Reserves from 1967-1973. He worked at Members Mutual Coop and Sam Annis and Company.
Bob is survived by his wife, Sandy Bouman of Tripoli. Iowa; a son, Jeff (Stacey) Bouman of Lakeville, Minnesota; and a daughter, Kris (Mark) Franzen of Decorah, Iowa; seven grandchildren, Bryce, Drew, Gabby, Tate, Matthew, Annika and Luke; a sister, Carol (Bernard) Juliar of Surprise, Arizona; and a brother, Bernie and Jan Bouman of Ruthton, Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a granddaughter, Megan Franzen.
A celebration of life will be held at the end of March. Memorials may be directed to the family and memorials can be sent to P.O. Box 676, Tripoli, Iowa 50676.
